For decades, women were excluded from medical research, with the National Institute of Health (NIH) only mandating their inclusion in 1993. This has left many women cycling through the healthcare system, facing misdiagnoses and feeling unheard. When symptoms don't fit traditional, often male-centric models, they are dismissed, creating the "Lost Patient" phenomenon—endless referrals and dead ends. Our mission is to end this frustrating journey for women.

 

The facts speak the truth

Research shows that women often wait up to 11 years for an endometriosis diagnosis. They are also diagnosed later than men for over 700 diseases, and female-focused conditions like migraines and autoimmune disorders receive minimal funding. Despite being a leading cause of death, cardiovascular research includes women in only 4.5% of cases. This exclusion has led to women suffering in silence for too long.
